The Berkeley
The Berkeley is a care home for adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health needs and older people’s needs.
The home is situated on Kingsthorpe Road and is close to both Northampton town centre and Kingsthorpe and associated amenities including shops, recreational and leisure facilities.
The Berkeley is adjacent to bus routes 4 and 4a. Northampton town is easily accessed by road through junction 15 and 15a of the motorway and by train from London Euston and other mainline stations.
The Berkeley is a substantial, spacious old style property with a large garden. All accommodation is provided in single rooms. The home provides high quality furniture and fittings.
The Berkeley provides a service for adults of either sex seeking to improve their independent living skills who will be encouraged to aim to move on to more independent forms of living. For those unable or unwilling to do so the home is able to provide a medium or long term care service.
The home serves as a base for day opportunities and is also able to give access to Mentaur Day Opportunities Resource Centre in Kingsthorpe.
